Vic: Judge casts doubt on Blue Wedges' evidence
A Federal Court judge has called into question the evidence presented by anti-dredging
opponents .. as they try to stop Melbourne's billion dollar channel deepening project.
Blue Wedges is trying to have Commonwealth approval for the dredging overturned ..
on the grounds federal Environment Minister PETER GARRETT didn't consider all the facts.
In the Federal Court today .. FIONA MCLEOD SC .. said Mr GARRETT failed to consider
the economic and social impacts of the project .. and the environmental track record of
all the dredging …
